Seegrid Corp. Brings Robot Technology to Southern Ohio

First Stop on Eight-City Meeting Series Designed to Demonstrate Cost Savings and Operational Efficiencies Robots Bring to Manufacturers and Distributors

PITTSBURGH — February 3, 2010 — Seegrid Corporation (www.seegrid.com), the leader in Industrial Mobile Robots, today announced the company is making its first stop in the Columbus and southern Ohio region, February 8-12, 2010, as part of its series of seminars in eight U.S. cities designed to demonstrate the cost savings and operational efficiencies offered by Industrial Mobile Robots.

The meetings are available to anyone involved in operational improvements and cost-saving initiatives in distribution, warehousing and manufacturing facilities. The meetings will help educate attendees on how industrial mobile robots work alongside the workforce to perform everyday activities for moving product from location to location. They will also demonstrate the economics of deploying robots in today’s distribution and manufacturing environments.

"These efforts provide Seegrid with an excellent face-to-face opportunity to demonstrate why our robots are an operational breakthrough in material handling," said Brad Wyland, director of product strategy, Seegrid Corp. "Our robots reduce the cost of product moves by up to 80 percent and extend workforce productivity—companies’ flexibility goes up and operating costs go down."

Seegrid’s Industrial Mobile Robots are used by distribution and manufacturing companies to move pallets and product from location to location, facility wide. Whether the application is putaway or pallet transfers, or parts delivery to the line or end-of-line transfers, Seegrid robots are designed to help companies reduce operating costs, improve flexibility and increase scalability across their operations.
